Former Vision FC skipper, Michael Baidoo has revealed that the club handed him the armband in order to get the best out of him.
The midfielder who held similar positions in the early stages of his career was given the mantle to lead the senior team despite the availability of much more experienced players.
Baidoo led Vision FC to secure qualification to the Division One League in 2015 and went on to play a significant role in the team’s maiden campaign.
“Actually, in division two, there were senior players among us but I think they [Management] just gave it to me to do more.” The midfielder said in a live interview with the club media.
“They gave it to me so I can perform well and it was a great feeling”
Baidoo was transferred to Danish top-flight side FC Midtjylland in the summer of 2017 and he is on loan currently at Norwegian outfit FK Jerv.
